“The LeaderSlip is the best slip lead with power-loop out there! It’s lightweight, skinny, and strong which means it takes minimal pressure to communicate with my dog. I go between using the power-loop and not, depending on how prey driven my guys is in different environments. The stopper is also the best I’ve seen because it stays tight and stays in place. I use both the 6’ and 12’ depending on the training I’m working on, and sometimes I link the two together. The two lengths I have a perfect, but I think I’ll need another color for summer! As my first dog, it was important for me to invest in him and his behavior so that we can have the best relationship possible. I was referred to Jac for dog training and it was the best decision I have made for Oakley.
The first concern I brought to Jac was that I was struggling to feel in control on walks and around other dogs. When working with Jac, we didn’t only work on Oakley’s behavior but also my approach in establishing my role as the pack leader.
I texted Jac the other day to tell her that she is magic, and here’s why: Oakley has never been able to spend time in the crate without barking and I mean 10 hours of nonstop barking. I felt so defeated by the crate that I gave up on it and let Oakley have freedom in the house. In the many months that I attempted this on my own, I was unsuccessful. Jac did one training session with Oakley, focusing on showing him that the crate is his safe place to relax and seek refuge. Oakley has been 100% crate trained since that day!
